Positron, Intrado and Qwest Announce their Technology Roadshow
Denver, CO, August 19, 2005
Positron, Intrado and Qwest Announce their Technology Roadshow Denver, CO - Positron Public Safety Systems, the leader in fully integrated public safety solutions, Qwest, telecommunications provider to 14 western and mid-western states, and Intrado Inc., a global provider of integrated data and telecommunications solutions, have announced their upcoming Technology Roadshow. The Technology Roadshow will discuss issues regarding the Next Generation 9-1-1 and the implications of data distribution and display.
The Intrado® Intelligent Emergency Network™ and its compatibility with the Positron suite of public safety software applications is the primary topic for discussion. The Intrado® Intelligent Emergency Network™ is a next generation, IP-based emergency communications services network that addresses the nation’s expanding public safety needs—from increased homeland security requirements to accommodating new data, voice and video technologies. Positron’s public safety suite consists of E9-1-1 emergency response via Power 911, command and control via Power CAD, Power MAP and Power RADIO, and digital justice and corrections through Power RMS and Power JAIL. In the world of the Next Generation 9-1-1, a wealth of information can be provided to the call-handler, enhancing their ability to respond.
Positron, Qwest and Intrado will conduct a series of seminars highlighting these new capabilities, discussing industry topics such as:
- Cost-effective technologies for the 9-1-1 network to better handle call transfers, VoIP integration, and cross-agency collaboration
- New features to increase interoperability, efficiency and control
- Consistency of the Next Generation 9-1-1 with I-3, ATIS and ESIF emerging standards
- Display and use of caller information
- Mapping the Next Generation 9-1-1.
The Technology Roadshow will be held through September and October in a number of locations throughout the western states, including Seattle (September 8), Minneapolis (September 15), Phoenix (September 20), Portland (September 21), Salt Lake City (September 29), Denver (October 4), Helena (October 6) and Albuquerque (October 13).
